I don't know what rumours are going around, but the only thing I did was make a comment on the original planning permission. While I was the club founding chairman, I spent the best part of a day with another club member at the time and the local environmental health officer, together we came up with suitable operating times that would not generate noise complaints, the original applications would flagrantly flout the noise rules and get the club into grief, so hence the comment. I have not made any complaints or had anything to do with the club since then other than to communicate with the committee via email. I have no wish to see the club that I worked hard to create fail.
